The lantern lamp, created for a suspension application such as the classic Murano glass pendant chandeliers, completes the collection the wall lanterns, ceiling lanterns, but also other models, and they are all handcrafted lanterns.
To create the lanterns of Venice, the colored mass of glass must be blown directly into an iron cage which also acts as a mold. The preparation of the cage is a very difficult and important process, because the welds must be perfect to prevent them from collapsing, when the incandescent mass of the glass is inserted inside it.
The blown glass then takes shape within a metal structure. The attentive care in the realization is represented today by the use of steel decidedly more resistant over time, instead of iron (used for ancient lanterns). From the elegance of the lines and the effects of light, without neglecting technology. The cooling of the lantern, once blown, is slow. At the end of the process, the result is a unique object and above all each piece is different from the other, both in color and shape.
